Pop beauty Frankie Sandford has alarmed fans by checking herself into a clinic. The Saturdays babe was admitted to a centre for “unconfirmed reasons” after disappearing off the party circuit for over a week. Her spokesman last night confirmed Frankie, 22, had signed into a clinic but said her treatment was nothing to do with drink or drugs and was not for a cosmetic procedure such as a boob or nose job. Frankie herself admitted she had been poorly after posting a message on Twitter to bandmates Rochelle Wiseman, 22, Una Healy, 30, Mollie King, 24, and Vanessa White, 21. She wrote over the weekend: “Sorry I haven’t Tweeted in a while. I’ve not been very well. Miss u. I’ll b back soon x.” It comes after the star missed several group outings, leaving fans wondering if the sexy girl group were on the verge of a split. Last week the band members went to view a new Marie Curie Hospice Centre being built in Solihull, West Mids, but Frankie was forced to pull out. Then she was also absent from a group visit to their vocal coach Priscilla Jones. Sources have said the singer is being supported by boyfriend and Manchester City footballer Wayne Bridge, 31, but they refused to speculate on the reasons why she has checked in. Last night fans were sending her their best wishes. One wrote: “Frankie we miss you! The girls don’t look the same without you! Please come back!” Frankie’s ex-boyfriend, McFly star Dougie Poynter, 23, checked himself into rehab after their relationship ended last November.

The girls recently sat down for an Interview with PopDash.
Do you think ‘All Fired Up’ could be the long awaited first number one for The Saturdays?
Una: Well ‘Notorious’ did fantastically well and we’d be delighted to get into the top ten again. ‘All Fired Up’ has had fantastic feedback from the fans on Facebook and Twitter so we’re confident but at the same time we’d never say that if it doesn’t get to number one then it’s not a hit because we have lots of songs that’s people love that didn’t get to the top.All Fired Up is another big club track from The Saturdays, are you enjoying this new direction the group have taken?
Una: This is definitely the danciest song we’ve ever made and it’s the danciest track on the album too but there are lots of different styles on the album. We understand that dance music is very big at the moment and when you’re a pop act you can venture into differ rent genres. We’ve done al sorts in the past, Forever Is Over was pop-rock almost and there are lots of ballads on the new album too.Do you ever go out and hear your own songs being played in bars and clubs?
Vanessa: It’s actually really funny when it happens, it makes me laugh. We always want to dance along but you don’t know if people will just think you’re really sad for doing it!There’s stiff competition in the singles chart at the moment, you’re releasing ‘All Fired Up’ one week after Example releases his new song. How are relations between you and him? there is a bit of history there.
Mollie: That’s all kind of blown over really, we’d rather not even talk about him.And the other competition comes from One Direction. Are you fans of those boys?
All: We love One Direction!
Mollie: We love their single so much and have been fans ever since The X Factor so wish them all the success in the world. They’re all so cute.Have any of them taken your eye? They’re very popular with the ladies.
Mollie: I think we need men and they’re only boys but we do love them. How was the video shoot for ‘All Fired Up’. It looks like it was a lot of fun…
Mollie: It was great actually. I mean videos are always really long days but this was a lot more relaxed than normal and we had a grea time. And how are the rehearsals for your Uk tour coming along?
Una: Well the tour is not until December but we’ve been busy auditioning dancers and we’re planning to discuss choreography in the next few weeks. We’re really busy with the album at the moment and that’s due out in November so it’s a busy time and we’re just trying to fit it all in.We spoke to Frankie earlier in the year and she was keen to have some sort of flying incorporated into the live show, is that something we might see?
Una: That just sounds like the ultimate dream but we’re still in the early stages of sorting that stuff out really. We came out of the ground on the ‘Headlines’ tour so maybe we’ll find a new way of entering the stage this time. You mentioned the album earlier, what stage are you at with that now? Is it finished?
Vanessa: Pretty much, we’re just adding the finishing touches to it now really I think. It’s really exciting for us because we’ve actually written half of this album ourselves and we’re so excited to be selecting the songs that have made it onto the album.Well we can’t wait to hear it, good luck with ‘All Fired Up’ girls, we’re sure it will be another huge hit!
All: Thank you, bye!

Saturdays star Frankie Sandford tells me her boyfriend Wayne Bridge is hopelessly romantic… and that she wants to marry him. I caught up with smitten Frankie this week and she was waxing lyrical about the Manchester City and former England footballer. Frankie told me: “I hope we do get married in the future. My family wouldn’t be disappointed if I married him. He can’t do any wrong in the eyes of my friends and family – they absolutely love him!” But Frankie admitted wedding bells are a way off. “I am only 22,” she said. “Everyone is trying to marry me off and get me to have babies but I’m not even 25. That is for the future.” Frankie said Wayne – who dated model Vanessa Perroncel before she became embroiled in a sex scandal with John Terry – constantly surprises her with loving gestures. She said: “We booked a last-minute holiday to Cannes but I was in Manchester and didn’t have anything with me. So Wayne was like, ‘I’ll ring up Harvey Nichols and see if they’ll open late for us.’ We were shopping by ourselves drinking champagne. I felt like a princess! It was one of those moments where I wondered if I was dreaming. “He’s always very romantic and does a lot for me.” She reckons The Saturdays could get their first No 1 with their hot new single All Fired Up – out today. And Frankie, who used to date Dougie Poynter from McFly, is all fired up herself, over being called a WAG. “My boyfriend’s a footballer so technically I’m a WAG, but people use it as a derogatory term,” she said. “I’m sure dating a footballer hasn’t done any favours for people liking me but I don’t care. “I know what people think when I say I go out with a footballer – and I’d have thought exactly the same as I believed that stereotypical image – but then I met Wayne and you can’t help who you love. It’s just one of those things. “I hope it doesn’t define me – I was in The Saturdays before I met him.”
